COVID-19 Precautions

Dear Williams Memorial Church Family:

We lift up the name of Jesus because he has been with us through these unprecedented times.  We have been in an abnormal mode because of COVID-19. There are many challenges and adjustments that we were confronted with that cause us to make modifications to continue in our role as a church and serve the community.  We praise God for his divine guidance in getting us and keeping us during this unparalleled time.

I want to especially thank our Pandemic Response Team which met at least once each week to evaluate the situation and map out a plan of actions.  I want to thank particularly at this time also, our AV team that has enabled us to stay effectively connected each week.  We want to thank you for your patience and understanding by following the guidelines that we presented to you and being with us through our virtual worship service and bible study.

We are thanking God currently that the curve of coronavirus is being flatten and now the state is lifting up some restrictions as we enter into phase 1.  Our church will adhere to the guidelines because we want everyone to be safe. With the state entering into phase 1 of getting back to normal, our church will enact the following in connection with our church service.

We will continue to have services at 9am and 11am via the  live stream (www.williamsmemorialcme.org), Facebook (wmsmemcme), You Tube (Williams Memorial CME Church), and telephone (339-209-6345).  We encourage you to use these means of connecting to the worship.  We also ask that you worship with your tithes and offering by going to Givelify, E-Giving, mail it to (PO Box 1395 High Point, NC 27261), or bring it by the church on Sunday.

We will also continue virtual Sunday School at 10:15 am for adults, youth, and children (links will be emailed separately).

In addition to our live stream service, this Sunday we will add a Drive In Service at 11:00 AM only, whereby we will have service in the Parking Lot of our church. The following guidelines will be implemented in our service and we ask that you follow them.

1. Service will begin at 8:00 AM, Parking Lot will open at 7:30 AM

2. We are asking that family members who have regularly spent time together, to come in one vehicle to allow as many members as possible to attend.

3. Also, in the interest of observing social distancing requirements and to keep everyone safe, if you and your family member do not live in the same house or have not seen each other for a while, please stay safe by  arriving in separate cars. DO NOT BRING PEOPLE THAT YOU HAVE NOT BEEN AROUND.

4. Please enter by the entrance closest to Central Avenue.

5. Follow the directions of the parking lot attendants because we are spacing cars according to the state ordinance.

6. Stay inside your cars; church facilities (restrooms) will not be open.

7. We will use our car radios for speakers, instructions will be given to you when you enter the parking lot.

Your safety and health are our top priority.  We want to worship God but in a safe manner.  Thanks again for your prayers, suggestions and support during this unusual period of living with COVID-19.  Be blessed as we continue to trust in the God that has brought us this far.

In His service,

Pastor Robert J. Williams, Jr.
