 The Robert J. Williams Youth & Young Adult Choir is celebrating their 46th Anniversary today! Congratulations!!!

FEEDING 10,000 Project collection for the month of September- Please bring boxes of Stuffing. Men please help count today. For the month of October, please bring regular sized cans of Cranberry Sauce. Youth and Young Adults please help count today. Thank you!   Thank you!

Local Preachers, Laity and interested parties, we are now enrolling for the 2017-2018 ITC Certificate Program that will be hosted here at Williams Memorial CME Church. Classes will be held every Tuesday at 6:00 PM. See Reverend Maurice Bolden for registration forms and a book list. There are eight classes priced at $200 each and does not include books. Jump start your theological education with a Certificate in Theology. Lay persons are welcome. If you are interested in teaching, this is the program for you.

Young Adults are an intricate part of our church family here at Williams Memorial CME Church. We are looking to expand our Young Adult Ministry. If you are between the ages of 18-35 (or Young at Heart), WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!!! We are asking that you consider joining one or more of the Young Adult Boards:

  • Young Adult Fellowship (2nd Thursday at 6:30 PM; President-Denean Peace)
  • Young Adult Usher Board (Usher 2nd Sunday at 11 AM & 5th Sunday at 8 AM; President– Yongkesha McCollum)
  • RJW Youth & Young Adult Choir (Sing 4th Sunday at 11 AM; President-Martina Ratliff)
  • Unspoken Word Dance Team (Dance teams are in rotation for 3rd Sundays; Contact– Yongkesha McCollum)
  • Young Adult Sunday School Class (Every Sunday 9:45 AM upstairs; Class Leader-Chanel Davis)

These groups meet regularly to encourage faith, participate in recreation and to serve the world. All groups share in the goal of providing strong fellowship, Bible Study opportunities, and mission activities. We ask that you join our Facebook page Williams Memorial Young Adults.

Are you looking for a great way for your youth to get involved at Williams Memorial CME??? Consider the Jr. Usher Board! The Jr. Usher Board is seeking youth ages 5-17 years old to join our board. We serve on the 2nd Sunday at 8 AM and on the 4th Sunday at 11 AM. We are also, seeking advisors to help provide support and direction to the Jr. Ushers. It’s HOMECOMING TIME!!! The service will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at our 8 AM & 11 AM services, followed by a fellowship covered dish dinner. Our 2017 Annual Revival will be held on Monday, September 25th—Wednesday, September 27th, 7 PM nightly. Back again is Bishop W. Darin Moore of the Mid-Atlantic Episcopal District, who will be the 3-Day evangelist . The theme is: “Embracing the Unknown, Trusting God in the Process.” The scriptures are: Proverbs 3:5-6 and Romans 15:13.  The colors are cream, teal and gold.

In preparation for Revival, the Revival Evangelistic Committee is asking everyone that can, to fast from all meat during revival. Starting Monday, September 25th through Wednesday, September 27th. The scripture reference Proverbs 4:6-7. We are focusing on wisdom?

The Revival Kitchen Committee is asking all families to bring a basket of food for homecoming. If you work on the Kitchen Committee and your name was not on the list, please know that your help is needed. The Kitchen Committee will meet today after the 8 AM and 11 AM services.

Pastor Robert J. Williams, the Mass Choir, the Senior Ushers and the Williams Memorial Church Family will render service at Turner’s Chapel AME Church, 7615 Florence School Drive, High Point, NC for their homecoming service. The service will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 3:00 PM. Their Pastor is Rev. Michael Bowden. They are feeding the church around 2:00 PM.

The Senior Choir will celebrate their 68th Anniversary on Sunday, October 1, 2017 during the 11 AM service.

The Singles Ministry Committee meeting will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 6:30 PM. Members: Mary Wilson, Terrance Eatmon, Gwen Deberry, LaConya Little, Catherine Turner, Rev. Roderick Charles, Micheal Hill, Bonita Steele, Tilia Rice

The Couples Committee will meet on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 7:00 PM. Members: Min. Vickie McKiver, Rev. Wilhelmenia Bosier, Rev. Paulette Lendon, Min. Jimmy Rogers, Rev. Penny Torrence, Sammie Dow, Sr., Abolaji Adu, Rev. Glenda Walker.

The Men’s Bible Study Committee  will meet Saturday, October 7th at 10:00 AM..

Men’s Day Bible Study will be held on Saturday, October 14th at 9:00 AM. The last Bible Study was titled “Questions and Comments, Iron Sharpens Iron, Men helping Men”. There were several questions asked and comments made. Pastor Williams will be at the meeting to help answer any questions that were not answered at our last Bible Study. If there are more questions, please bring them. Come and join us.

The State of the Church Address will be given by Pastor Robert J. Williams on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the 11 AM service.

The Seniors Ministry, ages 60 and over, is sponsoring a trip to the State Fair on Senior Citizens Day. FREE to Seniors. The trip will take place on Tuesday, October 17. 2017. Please sign the sheet at the welcome desk if you plan to attend.

General Claims is now in progress. Adults are asked to pay $70 and children (17 & under) are asked to pay $10.

PASTOR ROBERT J. WILLIAMS 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION!  A celebration will be held at High Point Country Club Dr., High Point, NC on Saturday, November 4, 2017. SAVE THE DATE! The time is 5 PM—10 PM. Adult tickets are $30 each and child tickets are $20 each. Purchase tickets from any Pastor’s Aide member.
