Our Men’s Day Climax is today! The Men’s Day Committee. All Men are asked to pay $200 and young men ages 17 and under are asked to pay $10. Committee members are: Eric Ratliff-Chairman, Bernard Terry, Melvin Dirton, Sam Sanders and Eric Morrison.

The Board of Evangelism is spear heading “Feeding the 10,000”. For the month of June we are collecting cans of Corn. We are also continuing to collect Green Beans. Today, the EVERYONE is asked to count the cans.

The Board of Evangelism & The Board of Christian Education ask for assistance to help aid Hope Haven, a foundation of recovery, provides life skills for chemically dependent adults, requested current needs: Bath towel, Twin Sheet Set, Pillow, Bar of soap, Razor, Shaving cream (must contain NO ALCOHOL), Toothbrush (non-travel size), Toothpaste (non-travel size), Shampoo (non-travel size), Hair conditioner (non-travel size), Feminine hygiene product, Lotion, Blanket, Alarm clock, Combo floor lamp, Deodorant (men), Deodorant (women). Deadline to turn in items is Sunday, July 21st. Please see Minister Michelle Little or Rev. Lesa Davis for more information.

All Boards & Auxiliaries are asked to please vote your new 2019-2020 Officers. Also, plan for the new year and turn in your plans for meetings and events, to the Board of Christian Education. Meeting Request forms for all meetings are made out by President or Secretary of Boards & Auxiliaries, to submit to the BOCE two weeks ahead of meeting date. This will help secure your date, a room and to have placed on the meeting schedule. If you plan to cancel any meetings, please call the church office. This helps to eliminate conflict with meetings and a place to have them. The New Officers will serve in August 2019. Thank you!

Baptism by Immersion, will be held today after the 11 AM service. Everyone is encourage to stay and witness this glorious occasion.

Meeting cancelled for the month of July

The Announcer’s meeting will be held on August 12, 2019 at 6:30 PM. No meeting on July 15th. All announcers are asked to be present and on time.

The Jr. Ushers will celebrate their day on Sunday, July 28th.

The CYF Day will be observed on Sunday, July 28th.

The Church Cook-Out will be held on Saturday, August 3rd at 12 Noon. Place to be announced. Volunteers are needed.

The Gospel Choir will celebrate their 45th Anniversary on Sunday, August 18th, during the 11 AM service.

Children’s Church is held during the 11 AM service. The service will be for children ages 4-11 years old. Children’s Church need Volunteers! Please see Francine Mallory for more information.

Youth and Young Adult Sunday is every 4th Sunday of the month, during the 11 AM service. This opportunity allows the youth and young adults a chance to participate in service, and trains them to become future leaders. If you would like for your child or children and young adults to participate, please sign the sheet in the vestibule.

Black History Committee

¨ Are you interested in exploring Black History and culture? Here’s your chance to get involved! The Black History Committee is looking for    volunteers. 

¨ We will be expanding our Black History focus from just one month to observing throughout the year.

PLACE Schedule for this year: Registration will be after each service in the Fellowship Hall. It is recommended that leaders from all organizations in the Church complete the PLACE training.

Walker, Presiding Prelate.  The conference will be held at the Hilton Charlotte University Place, 8629 J M Keynes Dr., Charlotte, NC  28262. Registration is $50. Forms are in the church office. The deadline is June 24, 2019.

· July has been proclaimed by Mayor Jay Wagner and the City Council as “Children and Families Reading Month” in the City of High Point. The citizens of High Point are committed to promoting reading as a necessary skill that assures academic success and intellectual development for this ever changing world. Community engagement and participation in reading with children for the month of July is needed for each child to have an enjoyable reading experience. The High Point Public Library can be a resource for securing books to read for the month of July. We need everyone’s help to make a difference in each child’s life.
